Logan Casteel,

Secondary Years Principal

A Warm Welcome From
The Head Of Secondary Years

Welcome to the Secondary Years at Harrods International Academy, where we are dedicated to inspiring and preparing students to become confident, compassionate, and capable leaders of tomorrow. Our programme combines academic rigour with a strong focus on personal growth, critical thinking, and global awareness. Supported by a team of passionate educators and a nurturing community, students are encouraged to explore their passions, develop resilience, and embrace new challenges. It is my privilege to guide students through this transformative stage of their education, helping them build the skills and mindset needed to thrive both in school and in the wider world.

The Secondary Years Environment

Here at Harrods, ensuring that our students feel safe and comfortable while on our campus is our priority. With that in mind, we place a lot of care in designing spaces that promote a sense of belonging while also encapsulating the very essence of curiosity and discovery.

Modest Student Size Per Lesson Conducted

Our approach to delivering the best education to our students is by focusing on the students themselves. By having a smaller group of students conducted by our esteemed educators in every session, we can provide the most care and attention to our students, ensuring that they develop to the best of their potential at their own pace.

Creating A Safe And Welcoming Space

In our efforts to nurture our students holistically, we have spaces that cater to our students’ needs. From classrooms facilitated for learning to libraries and rest rooms for students to leisurely relax and play, we have ample spaces that go beyond just form and function.

Hygiene And Safety Are Of Our Paramount Concern

Students on campus are under proper supervision at all times. With regular fire drills to routine hygiene and safety courses, we regard students’ safety with the highest importance. Our classrooms are equipped with safety measures ranging from immediate aid to unexpected emergencies. Part of maintaining the well-being of our students, the programme also includes designated naptime and a balanced meal.

Parental Involvement Along The Student’s Journey

At Harrods, we recognise and cherish the vital role parents play as active partners throughout their child’s educational journey. We maintain clear and ongoing communication through regular weekly updates, parent-teacher meetings, and leadership townhalls to keep families well-informed and engaged. Parents are warmly welcomed to join community gatherings, classroom reading days, student showcases, and cultural events, providing meaningful ways to connect with their child’s learning experience. Additionally, we offer dedicated support during important transitions—such as the move from Primary to Secondary years—through orientation programmes and personalised meetings. Together, we build a supportive and nurturing community where every student is empowered to flourish.

Equipped to facilitate

A campus is not complete without its accompanying facilities. Here at HIA, we believe in creating spaces that are not only conducive for learning but with a strong emphasis on caring for the wellbeing of our students.

Additional support

At Harrods, we prioritise meeting the unique needs of every student—academically, emotionally, and socially. Our committed student support team offers guidance to help students manage challenges with confidence and resilience. For those requiring additional learning or inclusion assistance, our skilled SEN (Special Educational Needs) team collaborates closely with families and educators to provide personalised strategies and resources.

In the Senior Years, our university and career counsellors support students in planning their futures, helping them identify opportunities that match their strengths and aspirations. Being part of the Global Schools Group also gives our students access to an extensive network of educational experts and global support services, ensuring they receive the comprehensive care, guidance, and opportunities necessary to succeed.
